I have successfully navigated the murky waters of AT&T to identify the process of getting the blackberry tethering to work with my Windows based PC and I wanted to provide a resource for others.

Setting up the Bluetooth Dial up Networking was the easy part, avoiding the PPP 734 Error was the pain. Hint, it had to do with this: AT+CGDCONT=1,”IP”,”wap.cingular”.  I know, it looks Greek, but it is really Aramaic. No, seriously, it is an “Extra Initialization String” that is needed for the “Standard Modem over Bluetooth link” Advanced settings. (See Screen shot). I have the BES Unlimited plan, and these setting worked for me. Apparently if you run the BIS Plan, you  must use AT+CGDCONT=1,”IP”,”isp.cingular” instead.

One of the biggest deceptions of the modern world is the myth that our children must attend college. I ask why?
We, as Christians and as Parents, must evaluate our children’s needs, abilities, and ambitions and decide if college is the best route.
One option is College Plus, another is apprenticeship programs.
